You know there are some really really dope artists on Instagram and other social media platforms who I feel are SO dope, but sometimes are just off in the Cut chillin’.
This week I want to shine some light on Barri Gibson of RubyRedRoots. I look at Barri’s hair color technical skills and I can see that she is talented and knowledgeable when it comes to working with natural hair. Barri is actually a beast when it comes to this color thing! Providing hair color services for textured hair can be very difficult if you don't have the experience or the patience to get through the process. I can see from Barri’s posts on Instagram that she has a lot of experience. I love to see how she combines colors and how it flows from one tone to the other. I can definitely see her attention to detail with all of the color melting applications that are done on her clients.
I had the pleasure of meeting Barri when she hosted a Hanzo class for me. She welcomed me into her beautiful salon in South Orange New Jersey. She was very pleasant. I really loved the hospitality shown to me as well as the love that I received from the other stylists in the salon. The overall vibe of Barri's salon is very warm. It's nice and comfortable with a boutique style feel to it. I feel blessed to have met her and I’m hoping to continue seeing more of her beautiful work!
