You know there are some really really dope artists on Instagram and other social media platforms who I feel are SO dope, but sometimes are just off in the Cut chillin’. This week I wanted to highlight beautiful transformer, phenomenal colorist, and blonde specialist Brandy Chene!
This Houston, TX bombshell has been perfecting her skills and delivering excellence to her clientele for over 17 years. When I think of trendsetter I think of someone who walks to a different beat than your average and isn’t afraid to take risks when it comes to fashion and innovation. Using hair and fashion as her artistic medium in which to express herself Brandy Chene is definitely, in my opinion, a bonafide trendsetter. To be creative you have to be brave and you have to be confident enough to be unapologetic for the risks you take to produce something special and unique. Brandy does this with every person she blesses through her talent. I have seen amazing color and cutting work from this beauty and her confidence is inspiring. Color and cutting can be one of the hardest mediums in hair to master and with getting as far as she has in the game I don’t blame her for tooting her own horn.
Any colorist that is good at what they do has gone through many trails and mistakes to get to that place and I can see that Brandy has come through it all strong and fearless. With talent like her's it’s safe to say that she ain’t going nowhere and if there is any direction she is headed it is only up from here. I appreciate and enjoy seeing stylists who highlight the beauty and artistry in real hair especially when its done on textured hair. It, for some reason, can be a rare thing to see these days. I had the pleasure of working with Brandy one time and her energy is as solid as her craft. Fun but serious, edgy and confident, she turns heads when she enters the room. I’m always looking forward to seeing what will come next from Brandy Chene. The essences of Fly she hits the nail every time.
