You know there are some really really dope artists on Instagram and other social media platforms who I feel are SO dope, but sometimes are just off in the Cut chillin’.This week I wanted to highlight Detroit, MI Colorist Danyell Williams !
It can be so hard to find a good colorist let alone a good colorist who can execute great color placement on textured hair! Well if in the Detroit area you don’t have to search far to find an amazing and talented color artist. As I scrolled down Danyell’s instagram I could see that she is definitely not scared to do unconventional colors as well as some of our classic naturals colors such as blondes, cinnamons, and browns. It is one thing to be able to get lift the hair so that you can deposit a tone however it is a totally different thing to do that plus have strategic placement of the color so that you can create a beautiful color scheme at the same time. Putting colors together and in the right areas of the head can be a skill all in itself. I really love when I discover hidden talents that are just chilling in the cut but till grinding and getting it in on the low. Not to mention doing well while seasoning through these winter months and still producing beautiful healthy color. I had to give a shoutout to Danyell Williams because I recognize that her talent can speak on it’s own.
