Artist Spotlight - Dyroll Dydy

You know there are some really really dope artists on Instagram and other social media platforms who I feel are SO dope, but sometimes are just off in the Cut chillin’. This week I would like to High Light French Hair Artist Dyroll Dydy!

Seeing as how I have been out here in France living my best life and taking in the culture, I felt it was so appropriate to spotlight this amazing hair artist who has been pioneering in education for my French brothers and sisters on the art of Afro hair! Dyroll definitely has an artistic expression through hair! Especially how she highlights the beauty in Afro hair. The styles that she coifs on her beautiful chocolate muses are nothing short of amazing. I’ve seen her post image after image of amazing and inspiring work. Besides being a really dope hair artist, Dyroll is also a very knowledgeable educator. She speaks at hair expos, offers independent workshops in Paris, and she is also featured in informative magazines such as Amina Magazine for her expertise.

Deepening her authenticity, Dyroll has traveled to parts of Africa learning more about the African Dispora and history only to further add to her extensive knowledge on Afro Hair and Afro culture. Dyroll gives very informative education on not only afro hairstyling, but also on health. This is a plus, because healthy hair first starts with a healthy body. I would love to attend her class. My only concern is that I would have to learn French first seeing as how she is fluent in French and English. Dyroll orates mostly for French speaking attendees or in French areas. This is an artist who I admire and love to see doing her thing.

What a blessing it is to be a person that can give back so much to their community by informing them of helpful and useful ways to style their hair and take care of their beautiful crowns. If you don’t know about Dyroll Dydy; now you DO!

She is simply amazing. Check out more of her work on her social media Instagram @dyroll_dydy. Dyroll Dydy is based in Paris, France.
