Artist Spotlight - Stephanie Anderson

You know there are some really really dope artists on Instagram and other social media platforms who I feel are SO dope, but sometimes are just off in the Cut chillin’. This week I would like to highlight a very special Stylist and Cut Master Stephanie Anderson!

I love seeing a great stylist stand strong behind their own approach and ideas. Stephanie is one of those stylist. From educating younger stylist on the beautiful art of haircutting to posting informative information on holistic living and eating Stephanie stands behind What she believes. A native of Detroit Michigan a city that experiences all four seasons Stephanie knows a thing or two about getting ahead and the grit and consistency it takes to get there. Owner of @thelivingroomhairlounge Stephanie has a mission to teach pure haircutting and styling techniques, proper procedure while in the salon and creating the ultimate cater to you salon experience. I had the pleasure of meeting Stephanie as she invited me to teach a class in her beautiful and unique salon space. Sharing her gifts for many years she has produced a great reputation in here community. It takes courage to stand for something and to promote positive progression with your sect of the industry and Stephanie does this relentlessly trough here social media and the Salon’s social media as well. Such positive and giving energy I’m sure I’m not the only one who can attest that she is a necessary influence on black hair care. Always giving input on self improvement and different ways to holistically improve one’s well being I can predict that we are sure to see much more beneficial insights come from her existence. Specking on the state of the industry on local television as well as involving herself with causes that matter, Stephanie is a great example of continuing on through no matter what. The consistency she displays is admirable and I feel very blessed to know such a kind and considerate person.
