Artist Spotlight - Stormi Kelley

You know there are some really really dope artists on Instagram and other social media platforms who I feel are SO dope, but sometimes are just off in the Cut chillin’. This week I wanted to highlight a very inspiring Artist Stormi Kelley

Stormi is a very special Artist with a truly inspiring story. Her personality is so infectious and she really loves what she does. Stormi travels nationally teaching the Art of Haircutting and motivates aspiring students at every cosmetology school she teaches at. Known for her funny and down to earth personality she is definitely an industry gem knowledge about an array of different types of cutting techniques. I have had the pleasure of knowing Stormi and she is always a joy to be around. Funny and smart she knows how to work hard and how to get ahead. A national educator for Hattori Hanzo she has probably taught classes in so many cities across the country I wouldn’t even know where to begin with her trail.

Stormi is multi faceted and can work with all textures of hair. Specializing in cuts and color she can produce a shape from long layers, shag, to beautiful bobs and is well versed and knowledgeable about color theory as well. I love when I get to see Stormi because she is always a cool level headed person able to see what’s real and what’s not. Known to “keep it real “ and give real talk about real life situations she is an inspiring and motivating Artist. There are so many talented Artists in our industry and ones that so after go unnoticed from the mainstream eye. Talent can be found in a lot of different places but in this case Hattori Hanzo seen a gem with Stormi and commendably has given her a platform in which to show, demonstrate, and teach beautiful artistry for other fellow hair industry Artist to be inspired by. I love Stormi and her beautiful spirit. Despite pass set backs Stormi has come out on top and has not let the pass shape her future. A hard worker and self starter she definitely knows how to get the job done and how to move forward in the face of adversity. I commend this strong and unique Artist for her tenacity for achievement and her hustle to get ahead. You can check out more of Stormi’s work on IG @juststormi and she can be found at Robert Cromeans Salon
